How We Use Your Information

We use your information to serve you better — to make Know Your Trips more relevant, safer, and more useful on every trip. Specifically:

To power Milo AI route intelligence and destination safety scores.
To provide offline access to your saved trip data and emergency contacts.

None of these services receive your precise location data or trip itinerary details.

By downloading or using Know Your Trips ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully before using the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Yashwanth Kamma ("we", "us", or "our"), the operator of Know Your Trips. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the App for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. This licence does not include the right to sublicense, sell, resell, or commercially exploit the App or its content.

3. Use of the App

Know Your Trips is designed to provide travel safety information, real-time alerts, and AI-powered trip planning. You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

Use the App in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App or its related systems.
Use the App to transmit unsolicited communications or malicious code.
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App.
Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or extract content from the App.

4. Safety Information Disclaimer

The safety information, alerts, and scores provided by Know Your Trips are for informational purposes only. While we strive for accuracy, we make no guarantee that the information is complete, current, or error-free. You should not rely solely on this App for safety-critical decisions. Always follow the guidance of local authorities and exercise your own judgement. Know Your Trips is not a substitute for travel insurance, official government travel advisories, or emergency services.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Know Your Trips offers a free tier and optional paid subscriptions ("Premium"). The following applies to all subscriptions:

Subscription fees are charged through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store in accordance with their respective billing terms.
Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
You may manage or cancel subscriptions at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings.
No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods, except where required by applicable law.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice.

6. Free Trials

We may offer free trial periods for Premium subscriptions. Free trial eligibility is determined by Apple or Google and is typically limited to new subscribers. At the end of the free trial period, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.

7. Intellectual Property

All content within the App — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, safety scores, and software — is the property of Know Your Trips or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

8. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including mapping providers, safety data sources, and analytics tools. These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of those third-party services. A full list of third-party services we use is available in our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Know Your Trips shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the App — including damages arising from reliance on safety information provided by the App. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your licence to use the App ceases immediately.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
